To better protect consumer safety, especially that of children, the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of China have issued GB 44702-2024 Limits of Harmful Substances in Exterior Components of Watches in Direct Contact with Human Skin, which will officially take effect on October 1, 2025.

佩戴手表时，外观件（如表壳、表带、表扣、柄头（又称表冠、把的、巴的）等）会与皮肤长时间直接接触。一些不合格材料可能释放镍、铅、汞等重金属，或含有甲醛、塑化剂等化学物质，这些物质会引发皮肤过敏、接触性皮炎，甚至对人体健康造成更严重的危害。
When wearing a watch, exterior components (such as the case, strap, clasp, and crown, etc) remain in prolonged direct contact with the skin.Substandard materials may release heavy metals like nickel, lead, and mercury, or contain chemical substances such as formaldehyde and plasticizers. These substances can trigger skin allergies, contact dermatitis, or even pose more severe health risks.
新标准的出台，是为了从源头上减少这些风险，让消费者戴得安心、用得放心。

标准适用范围 Scope of Application
GB 44702-2024 适用于与皮肤直接接触的手表外观件，包括但不限于：

●金属与金属陶瓷 Metals and cermets (ceramic-metallic composites)
●皮革 Leather
●塑料、橡胶 Plastics, rubber
●合成蓝宝石、无机玻璃 Synthetic sapphire, inorganic glass
●纤维复合材料 Fiber-reinforced composite materials
核心限量要求 Core Limit Requirements
1. 通用要求（适用于所有手表）General Requirements (applicable to all watches)
●镍释放量：小于 0.5 μg/cm²·周 Nickel release rate: < 0.5 μg/cm²/week
●可分解芳香胺染料：≤ 30 mg/kg Carcinogenic aromatic amines: ≤ 30 mg/kg
●游离甲醛：≤ 75 mg/kg Free formaldehyde: ≤ 75 mg/kg
●重金属限量：Heavy metal limits:
○镉 ≤ 100 mg/kg Cadmium (Cd) ≤ 100 mg/kg
○铅 ≤ 1000 mg/kg Lead (Pb) ≤ 1000 mg/kg
○汞 ≤ 1000 mg/kg Mercury (Hg) ≤ 1000 mg/kg
●皮革：需符合 GB 20400 的有害物质限量要求。
●Leather materials: Must comply with the harmful substance limits specified in GB 20400.
2. 儿童手表的特别要求（3–14 岁）
Special Requirements for Children’s Watches (ages 3–14)
在满足通用要求的基础上，还需符合更严格的可迁移元素和塑化剂限值
In addition to meeting the general requirements, the following stricter limits on migratable elements and plasticizers apply:
●可迁移元素 Migratable elements:
○Sb ≤ 60 mg/kg，As ≤ 25 mg/kg，Ba ≤ 1000 mg/kg
○Cd ≤ 75 mg/kg，Cr ≤ 60 mg/kg，Pb ≤ 90 mg/kg
○Hg ≤ 60 mg/kg，Se ≤ 500 mg/kg
●塑化剂（DBP、BBP、DEHP 总和）：≤ 0.1%
●Plasticizers (sum of DBP, BBP, DEHP): ≤ 0.1%
